Bharti Airtel has launched its 3G services in Karnataka and plans to rollout the services across all its 13 circles by March 2011.
By March 2012, the company plans to extend 3G services to over 1,500 cities and towns in India.
Airtel is also in talks with other operators to rollout 3G services in areas where it doesn't have a 3G licence.
Since many users will be wary of shooting mobile bills thanks to the increased data consumption, Airtel has launched various packages priced from Rs 10 for experimental users.
The 3G offerings will also be available in packages ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 450 for medium users.
High-end users can get prices from Rs 650 for 1.25GB to Rs 2,000 for up to 14GB of usage.
