Education software company Aptech said on Wednesday that it has received a dividend of Rs 50.3 crore from its holding in China-based BJB Career Education Co.
Aptech owns 22.4 per cent stake in BJB Career Education, which is a vocational training company.
“With the receipt of Rs 50.3 crore now and Rs 32.6 crore in February 2011 as dividend from BJB Career Education, Aptech's balance sheet has been substantially strengthened. The company now has sufficient internal resources to invest in growing its existing businesses and explore newer growth opportunities.” said, Mr Ninad Karpe, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aptech, said in a press statement.
The Aptech scrip was up 1.04 per cent to close at Rs 92 on the BSE today.
