Artin Dynamics, a Technopark-based company, has emerged as a winner in the ‘InfoDev Top 50 Innovative Programme' for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

InfoDev is a technology and innovation-led development finance programme in the Financial and Private Sector Development Vice-Presidency of the World Bank/International Financial Corporation.

PRIORITY AREAS

It supports SMEs active in three priority areas of mobile and information and communication technology, climate technologies and agri-business.

The awards have been set up by the Access to Markets and Finance Programme (A2MF Programme) as an initiative to bridge the gap between SMEs and funding sources or customers and partners globally.

This is done by tapping ‘angel networks' and creative fund structures and through international incubation, twinning and soft-landing facilities.

Artin Dynamics has now been invited to participate in the 4th Global Forum on Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship at Helsinki, Finland from May 28 to June 4.

‘PITCHING' OPPORTUNITY

It would have the opportunity to pitch itself to an audience including business angels, mentors, financiers, and established companies and other incubation associations.

Artin was screened amongst 1,000 applications, from which 50 SMEs were selected, said Mr Nelvin Joseph, Chief Executive Officer.

Meanwhile, infoDev is linking up its global network of SME incubators with myriad funding opportunities around the world.

Artin is one of the first few companies in India to work solely in the artificial intelligence domain.

REDUCING WASTAGE

Its pioneering product, Spara, is aimed at reducing power wastages occurring during non-usage hours of a computer.

The product is targeted at organisations dealing with large-scale usage of computers where manageability of power consumption is a huge concern.

Spara consists of a software module that works towards reducing power wastage on ‘idle systems' and a hardware module that cuts ‘phantom power' losses on ‘turned off' systems.
