Mr S.C. Misra, Member (Services), Telecom Commission, has been given the additional charge of BSNL as its Chairman and Managing Director. The appointment is till a full-time CMD is finalised.
The Government has appointed a four member panel including Mr Sam Pitroda and Mr Nandan Nilekani for selecting a CMD for BSNL.
The earlier panel, headed by the Cabinet Secretary, has been scrapped.
