The Kochi-based Cordiant Technologies is setting up an Information Technology Research Park in Thiruvaniyur near here. The development will take place in phases, the first of which is expected to be completed in 2012.
The company has already acquired 7.5 acres, and the park would be Cordiant Innovation Centre (Incubation Space) for young entrepreneurs and also a turn-key lab space for industry peers. The total investment of the project is expected to be around Rs 150 crore, Mr Dennis Paul, Founder President and CEO, Cordiant Technologies said.
Cordiant IT Research Park would also work closely with select educational institutions in the region to improve the overall industry-relevance of their study programmes. An integral part of the Cordiant IT Research Park would be industry-specific Finishing Schools set up in partnership with other companies and industry associations.
Set up in 1995, Cordiant has been providing India based offshore development services to an international customer base.
The company has also set up a new centre of excellence in e-learning within its International Tech Park office in Chennai this year. A centre of excellence in Enterprise Mobility is currently being set up in Kochi, he added.
