HTC Global Services, a Chennai-based IT solutions and BPO company, plans to hire nearly 3,000 people by the end of March 2012 in the backdrop of global clients increasing their IT spend, according to a company official.
The company currently has around 4,000 employees with nearly 25 per cent of them working at onsite locations abroad.
“The market has picked up, and we need to be ready with the right people,” said Mr Madhava Reddy, President and CEO, HTC Global, which has revenue of around $160 million. As part of its expansion in India, HTC today inaugurated its facility in Chennai to accommodate nearly 1,500 employees. Recently, the company acquired a facility in Hyderabad to house around 1,200 employees.
In the last one year, the company has invested nearly Rs 300 crore on the infrastructure expansion, he told newspersons. With bulk of the revenue coming from the US, HTC provides solutions to the States of Michigan and Alaska and to institutions such as University of Michigan and University of Indiana in the US, he said.
