Public sector company ITI Ltd has signed an MoU with the Telecom Commission for the year 2011-12, the company said on Wednesday.
“The thrust areas of the MoU include ITI's coming back to profits during 2011-12 and implementation of new projects,” it said. The company pegged its growth on the opportunities it saw in mobile technologies, broadband products and smart cards for the NPR (national population registration) project, according to an official.
ITI would have to adhere to the implementation schedules of all the orders bagged by it and reduce the liquidated damages, the release said.
The other thrust areas, it said, were quality, technology upgradation, reduction of non-performing assets, skill upgradation and realisation of sundry debtors.
The MoU was signed in Delhi on Tuesday by Mr R.Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications who chairs the Telecom Commission, and Mr K.L. Dhingra, ITI's Chairman & Managing Director.
