Mahindra Satyam has tied up with Oracle to bring in its Oracle Exadata Database Machine to smoothen the integration process as it assimilates its work with Tech Mahindra.

The company, which has indicated its merger plans, said it had begun joint go-to-market initiatives with Tech Mahindra.

“The database machine is used to support the future expansion plans of the company and the integration of Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra in the coming months. It handles increased IT processing workloads and enables Mahindra Satyam to develop implementation and consultative competencies on Oracle Exadata to boost its revenues through new services engagements,” said Mr Sriram Papani, Head of Enterprise Business Solutions at Mahindra Satyam.

The new solution would help the company reduce expenditure, including costs associated with data centre carbon footprint.

“With this deployment, we are well poised to address customers' demands for infrastructure consolidation and lower maintenance costs,” he said.

“Over 1,000 such machines are installed in 67 countries across 23 industries. It helps improve performance of business applications and processes manifold,” Mr Sheshagiri Anegondi, Vice-President (Technology) of Oracle India, said.
