As it settles class-action suits in the US, Mahindra Satyam seems to have begun a global campaign to improve its image, which had taken a beating following massive financial fraud and its fallout in the last two years.

The ‘who's who' of Mahindra Satyam, led by the group chairman, Mr Anand Mahindra, is going to take part in the Customer Connect 2011 in Boston in May next. Mr Atul Kunwar, President, and Mr C.P. Gurnani, Chief Executive Officer, will join him in the meet that is aimed at knowing and understanding how Generation Next is going to shape the world.

The focus would be on the emerging business models in an increasingly connected world. Prof Vijay Govindrajan, who authored Ten Rules for Strategic Innovators , would speak on strategies required to address the needs of the next generation.

“In the new enterprise paradigm in the connected environment, customers are already shifting their loyalties. Patterns of their consumption, starting from telecom operators to Web sources such as Google and Facebook, are fast changing. This needs to be understood and factored into business models,” a company executive said.

WEF meet

The IT firm has partnered with World Economic Forum (WEF) in conducting the latter's regional meeting at Rio de Janerio (Brazil) that would focus on ‘Laying the foundation for a Latin American Decade'. Mr Arvind Malhotra of Mahindra Satyam would speak on ‘The Future of Latin American Cities'.

Back home, it is hosting a Cloud Conclave to bring customers, alliance partners, competency teams and business units to a common platform to discuss trends and opportunities.

Besides helping stakeholders understand alliance partner capabilities and share best practices, it would build further ‘cloud' momentum across the Mahindra group, the executive said.
