Pegasystems Inc., the US-based IT firm with huge interests in India, has acquired the assets of the Bangalore-based MeshLabs Software Private Ltd, a provider of advanced text analytics and social engagement solutions company.
“Pegasystems will unify MeshLabs’ social listening, text analytics, and natural language processing to enhance existing capabilities in its market-leading customer service, marketing, and case management solutions,” the company said in a press release.
The combined solution will enable organisations to collect social contents such as tweets, blogs, posts on Facebook or in other social communities, and enrich it by detecting language, topic, taxonomy and sentiment to deliver actionable social insight and intelligence.
“Digital enterprises require the ability to extract actionable insights from social media to better understand and serve their customers,” Alan Trefler, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pegasystems, said.
“The addition of MeshLabs into Pega’s unified platform will enable clients to immediately apply analytics and automate cases in response, delivering a real-time, personalised customer experience,” he said.
