Micromax has launched the Micromax A70. The phone comes with a 3.2'' TFT HVGA capacitive touch screen, 65K colour display and a resolution of 320x480 pixels, says the company. It runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and is powered by a 600 MHz processor, which helps the user achieve desired tasks much faster, it says. It is also equipped with a 5.0 MP primary camera and a VGA secondary camera. The phone is compatible with multiple audio/video formats, adds the company.
Mobile protection
Symantec has announced the availability of Norton Mobile Security for Android 2.0. The product ensures that consumers' confidential information is protected against new and evolving security threats, says the company. Its anti-phishing Web protection feature blocks fraudulent Web sites and protects users who connect to the Internet via their smartphone, it says. The product is available at leading retailers and telecom companies across the country at Rs 599 for a single licence. The price includes a one-year service subscription to use the product and receive Symantec's protection updates, it adds.
