German software giant SAP has announced the expansion of the SAP Labs India in Bangalore. It plans to construct LEED-certified building at Whitefield in Bangalore, close to where the company has set up its first India centre. The Bangalore facility is expected to be operational in 2016, according to a company spokesperson. Currently, according to SAP officials, the company has around 6,500 employees in India and almost half of them work for SAP Labs. However, the company did not give a break up of the number of employees who they plan to hire for this new facility.
