Sonata Software has announced the launch of a Car Rental Management System called MilEdge. MilEdge is a PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant Web-based solution designed for auto-leasing companies. Sonata is implementing this system for the Arenco Group, which has a fleet of over 16,000 vehicles in the UAE.
According to Mr Mahesh Shastry, Head - Travel, Transportation & Logistics Business, Sonata Software, “The future of the car rental industry looks positive as business and leisure car rental is expected to grow mainly due to rise in travellers globally. Sonata is currently working on providing MilEdge on a SaaS (software-as-a-service) based model so as to reach out to those car rental customers who are willing to opt for a pay-as-you-go model.”
