Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has bagged an IT services deal from the US arm of Air Liquide Group to provide application support, maintenance and development services.

Though the size of the engagement and other details could not be ascertained, it is said to be ‘multi-year, multi-million dollar' arrangement.

TCS will provide end-to-end application development and maintenance services to provide 24/7 support to 5,800 users of Air Liquide USA. It will also oversee day-to-day IT management through a managed services model, and offer immediate problem diagnosis and repair services for an added level of IT support, according to a statement from Air Liquide.

France-based Air Liquide supplies industrial gases and services to various industries including medical, chemical and electronic manufacturers. Founded in 1902, it is present in 80 countries with 42,300 employees.

According to TCS, one in three Fortune 500 manufacturing companies have partnered with the Mumbai-based software outsourcer. As of 2009, Air Liquide was ranked 484 in the Fortune Global 500

Recently, TCS bagged a multi-million dollar IT infrastructure deal from Dutch technical consultancy firm Royal Haskoning.
