UST Global, a global software company, has acquired Andare, which provides mobile applications. Both are US-based companies. However, UST Global has large offshore development centres in India.
The acquisition will result in a range of new product offerings for clients of UST Global that are based on Andare's iDispatch platform for field service technicians.
iDispatch technology will enable productivity gains in field service operations. The company will leverage the product platform to launch other enterprise mobile products, said Mr Sajan Pillai, Chief Executive Officer, UST Global.
Some of the features of iDispatch include real-time service appointment scheduling, rescheduling and update notifications, management of time, expenses, parts, inventory, and assets and real-time GPS locations of field service personnel for optimised dispatch management.
