The US-based enterprise infotech security company Websense has introduced its cloud-based solution for domestic companies. The firm will be investing $1 million in the solution, security-as-a-service (SaaS). The Indian enterprise security market is estimated at roughly $150 million. “We already have 1,000 non-cloud customers here. We think migrating to a cloud-based subscription services like SaaS could bring down cost of ownership by roughly around 40 per cent,” Websense President, Mr JohnMcCormack, said here today. The company plans to sell licences based on an annual subscription model to enterprises. “We do not expect all our customers to adopt our cloud-based services immediately. We expect them to do that in phases. Our large customers have already invested around $2 million on in-house infrastructure to host our solutions. These customers can purchase licenses for our cloud-based service,” said the Websense Regional Sales Director for Saarc & India, Mr Surendra Singh.
