Xchanging, YTL Comm tie up

BPO provider Xchanging has announced a 50:50 joint venture with YTL Communications, a subsidiary of Malaysia-based YTL Power International Bhd. According to the joint venture, Xchanging will bring its systems integration capabilities to deliver services on YTL Communications' 4G network. Services provided by Xchanging would include hosting services such as virtual servers, storage, anti virus, wi-fi gateways and location-based services (like GPS) amongst other solutions. Also, it will deliver 4G Internet services through the cloud and mobile applications developed specifically for 4G riding on YTL's network. YTL Power International owns a 60 per cent stake in YTL Communications and runs a 2.3 GHz WiMAX wireless broadband network in Malaysia that was rolled out in November 2010 and the company with this tie up wants to bring this expertise in India.
