Andhra Pradesh will be positioned as one of the leading intellectual capitals of the world by nurturing entrepreneurship, research and innovation, to achieve global excellence in IT products and services, said Mr V. Rajanna, President, ITsAP.

Speaking to newspersons today at an event connected with the upcoming IT Summit, he said: “We will showcase the infrastructure of AP, the unparalleled eco-system (universities, research labs and Govt., incentives), to help accomplish the business imperatives thus making the State a lucrative investment destination”.

Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology, unveiled the brochure of the two-day conference and exhibition “Advantage AP – Annual IT Summit 2012” to be held during June 21 and 22 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC).

Mr Lakshmaiah said, “the aim of Advantage AP is to provide a forum for IT and ITES companies, academic institutions, governments, end-customers of various industries, to collaborate and leverage the enabling environment that the State has. The aim is to promote Small and Medium Enterprises by providing an international platform for their growth, especially in tier-II/III locations in the State.”

The conference will also explore opportunities in industry sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, retail, government, education, banking & financial services, and healthcare through panel discussions.

The exhibition track will have participation from IT and ITES organisations, infrastructure developers, software product companies, Government departments, facility management and service providers, etc.

Mr Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Government of AP, STPI members and other committee members were also present on the occasion.
