Stayglad, a mobile marketplace for beauty services, has raised angel funding from a group of investors, including Tracxn Labs and Sahil Barua, co-founder of Delhivery. The amount raised was not disclosed.

According to a press release, Stayglad enables customers to get beauty, styling and ‘get-ready’ services at their doorstep. It can help customers find verified, trained, experienced and certified beauty service professionals.

Stayglad was founded just over a month ago by IIT Kharagpur alumni Prateek Jain, Shashank Gupta, and Kavish Desai.

The venture aims to start 20-minute appointments where one can get ready for an occasion by booking an appointment with a beautician and ordering a particular style and make-up look.

The release quoted Prateek Jain, co-founder, as saying that the idea came to him when he found his wife struggling to drape a sari for a family function. “…We figured there is a significant gap in the market. We are changing the way customers access beauty and get-ready-quick services at short notice and paving the way for beauty professionals to maximise their skills with no overhead costs.”

Stayglad now offers beauty services in Bengaluru and expects to expand soon.
