The city-based Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry has approached Google to explore possible opportunities for its digitisation programmes here in the State, sources said.
A delegation from the Chamber met State IT Minister Bratya Basu, on Tuesday. During the course of the meeting, the issue of Google working here is said to have cropped-up.
When asked chamber's office-bearers refused to confirm the same. “The discussions with the Minister were focused on creating the enabling ecosystem for progress of IT and electronics in the State,” an official release from the chamber said.
