BlackBerry has slashed prices of its Z10 smartphone to ₹17,990, under a limited period offer of 60 days.

The present reduction of ₹12,000 is to celebrate BlackBerry’s 10th anniversary in the Indian market, the company said in a statement. The handset, first BB10 smartphone, was launched in India in February 2013 with a price of ₹43,490. Later in September, under a limited period offer, the price was slashed to ₹29,990. This slash, according to the company, was targeting the festival sales that started in October.

“BlackBerry has loyal user base in India and we’re keen to provide these consumers with the unique communication experience that BB10 offers,” Sunil Lalvani, Managing Director India at BlackBerry, said.
