The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has requested the Andhra Pradesh High Court to change the location of the special court, which is trying the over Rs 7,136-crore Satyam Computer financial fraud. At present, the special court is located in the premises of criminal courts complex in Nampally here.
The CBI wanted a new premises to ensure that the trial process was not disturbed due to the on-going agitation for a separate Telangana State, Mr V.V. Lakshmi Narayana, Joint Director, CBI, told newspersons on the side-lines of a lecture at the National Police Academy here on Tuesday.
The court proceedings in the Satyam case have been disrupted for the last 28 days because of the general strike of advocates in support of the Telangana State.
