Confirmtkt, the Bengaluru-based online train ticket discovery and booking app, which was available only in English, now supports seven regional languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam and Bengali.
It plans to add Gujarati, Punjabi and Oriya soon. Dinesh Kumar Kotha, co-founder and CEO, said, “We realised that some users were not able to navigate as they were not proficient in English. We decided to address this issue by offering language. With the addition of regional languages, we registered a growth of 1.8 per cent in our user base. This is expected to increase in the coming months.”
