Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari and Cyient founder and Executive Chairman of BVR Mohan Reddy inaugurated the facility on Sunday.

Cyient has also laid the foundation stone for a 70,000 square feet Technology Development Centre at Madikonda Special Economic Zone in Warangal. It will be operational in the next 18-24 months.

The Centre of Excellence will undertake fibre and coaxial network planning and design, cell site design, and network optimisation services. “We will also use the centre to provide geospatial services and solutions for the company’s Smart City engagements,” he said.

“This is our fourth centre in Tier-II cities, and we are confident of accessing a good resource pool of engineers graduating from the colleges in the area,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

The facility, spread over a 5-acre area, will support Cyient’s global digital technology initiatives in areas such as Internet of Things, analytics, and Smart Cities.
