Mr Cyrus Mistry, designated successor to Mr Ratan Tata, has joined the board of directors of Tata Consultancy Services, a statement from the company said.
Banking heavyweight Mr O. P. Bhatt also joins the info-tech major's board as an independent director.
The board now has 14 directors, including seven independent directors.
Mr Mistry was recently appointed Deputy Chairman of Tata Sons and will take over from Mr Ratan Tata when he retires.
Mr Bhatt is best known for his role as Chairman of the State Bank group between July 2006 and March 2011.
