The initiative, funded by Microsoft CSR, will kickstart in the first week of October in Noida, Hyderabad, Patna and Mohali. The idea is to expand to new locations in the South and West in the coming months.
It is a three-year initiative with the objective to train women engineers between 21-27 years over a period of three months. It will train 500 in the first year.
Speaking at the launch, Rema Vedashree of DSCI said, "We have partnered with organisations and government bodies for recruitment both at the entry level and lateral hiring, post the training."
