With most organisations allowing their employees to work from home, the demand for online collaboration tools has gone up significantly. VacYa, a homegrown digital conferencing platform, said it has witnessed a spurt in sign-ups. The platform now has over 30,000 sign-ups, largely driven by the demand for digital collaboration tools during the lockdown.
The firm has been offering the software for free during the lockdown, seeing the huge need for the platform to let companies collaborate with their employees and clients. “Thousands of people have used our platform in the last three months. We factor in security while designing the platform,” said Chandra S Potineni, founder of VacYa.
The product is built on the latest WebRTC signalling and media standards, adhering to all the required security protocols, the company said. Conforming to the statutory requirement of data localisation and privacy, it hosts all meetings on Indian servers, it added.
