ERP solutions provider Marg will provide 3,000 placements by the end of 2018. Under its skill development programme, the number of Marg Academies, spread over 21 states and 178 cities in India, will also be doubled to 1,000 by December this year.
The academies, currently comprising over 500 centres with teachers and supporting infrastructure, placed 2,500 students in various industries utilising its flagship inventory and accounting software solutions for businesses over the last six months, according to a press release.
The duration of training in Marg Academies is five months. A 2016 study by Assocham revealed that 93 per cent business graduates are not employable because of lack of requisite skills needed to operate a business. Marg is a member of the Government’s Skill India and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana initiatives.
Marg is also planning to raise Rs 100 crore via equity dilution. The funds will be used mainly for expansion and infrastructure development.
