City-based event tech start-up, Hubilo, on Thursday announced funding from angel investors led by Girish Mathrubootham, the founder of Freshdesk, in the venture. The size of the investment or the stake acquired by the investors wasn't revealed.

Hubilo provides integrated end-to-end online solutions in the event technology space through a dedicated website for the event, event app, social media posts, e-mail marketing and registration and networking platforms for the event. This helps event organisers create, promote, manage and analyse events.

The angel investment for expansion and product upgradation was led by Girish Mathrubootham, founder of Freshdesk, with V.C. Karthic, Miten Mehta, Umasankar Nistala, Rakesh Patel, Akash Bhavsar, Jeevanandhan Rajagopal, Vikas Chadha, Ameet Rughani, Samad Makani, Avinash Raheja and Ashish Nanda, as a group of strategic investors.

"We currently have a strength of 16 in our team. With this new investment, we will expand our strength to 33. This is the season of events and we are aiming for a big event like Vibrant Gujarat in the coming days," said Vaibhav Jain, co-founder & CEO of Hubilo.

Hubilo was founded in 2015 and incubated at iCreate with a seed fund of Rs 15 lakh and had received a scale-up grant of Rs 8.9 lakh from the Gujarat government.
