Facebook has called for entries from start-ups for the second edition of its India Innovation Hub Accelerator programme.

The programme, organised in association with T-Hub, will focus on themes around ‘Artificial Intelligence for Social Good’.

Start-ups using AI to solve complex problems in areas such as gender equality, decent work and economic opportunity, innovation infrastructure, climate change and peace and justice are invited to apply.

To be eligible for the programme, each team must have at least one full-time employee, and its product or service must be generating recurring revenue.

“Start-ups selected for the programme will receive support for their efforts and improve their products and services to better tackle fundamental challenges facing the region, as well as to scale internationally,” a Facebook spokesperson said.

The last date for sending entries is June 9, while the cohort will take off on July 11.

The ‘demo’ day — where the selected start-ups would get an opportunity to present their company to potential investors — will be on October 4.

The social media firm will offer technical support, mentorship, and training on the use of Facebook products and tools, while T-Hub will give them access to its ecosystem partners
