Bengaluru-based mobile gaming and e-sports start-up EWar Games has roped in industry veteran Satya Mahapatra as an advisor.
Mahapatra, who has more than 15 years of experience in terms of launching and anchoring growth of several gaming start-ups in India, US, and UK, was formerly the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Junglee Games.
Also, previously he has been a key stakeholder at Party Gaming and Gamesys Limited (UK), the company said in a statement.
“Capitalising on the rising popularity of competitive gaming in India, EWar now wants to strengthen its roots in India, position itself as a leading, go-to-destination for e-sports enthusiasts in India, and eventually take Indian e-sports players to the global levels,” Mahapatra said.
E-War, a flagship product of gHack Technologies, is a new entrant to the e-sports market in India. The start-up had recently raised equity funding of $200,000 from angel investors, and will be pitching to raise further rounds of funding in the upcoming months.
