For people who don’t have enough time on their hands, Google has come up with “Chrome Multitask Mode”. Plug as many ‘mice’ into the computer and use them all together.

It suggests that we and our friends can also browse and work together, thereby saving lot of time. Nice, isn’t it? Only that it is an April Fool's Day prank by Google.

Then there is the ‘Tap keyboard’.

“Gmail Tap takes the keyboard from 26 keys to just two. Every letter of the alphabet is represented by a simple pattern of dots and dashes, and once you know them you can type without even looking at your screen. This makes it ideal for situations where you need to discreetly send emails, such as when you're on a date or in a meeting with your boss.”

The next is Google’s tie-up with Nascar for something called ‘Google Racing’ “to help self-driving vehicles compete in the world of stock car racing.”

A blog post, supposedly by Sergey Brin, says, “Larry and I have always believed in tackling big problems that matter, and we’re surer than ever that self-driving cars are one of them, capable of changing the world in all kinds of truly important ways, like reducing traffic and accidents by driving more efficiently, making correct split-second decisions and never shifting their focus off the road to check a map, text a friend, apply rear-view mirror mascara or dip a piece of tekka maki into a lid of soy sauce jostling over on the passenger seat.”

Then there is the announcement of 8-bit maps for Nintendo. “Our engineering team in Japan understood the importance of maps on retro game systems. With the power of Google’s immense data centers, and support from Nintendo and Square Enix, we were able to overcome the technical and design hurdles of developing 8-bit maps,” says Google.

In Australia, Google took it’s Street View a step ‘ahead’. Instead of Street View cams on cars, in Australia, the cams would be “mounted on Kangaroos”. “Over the next four weeks, more than a thousand Big Red kangaroos will be equipped with a 360-degree head camera that will automatically capture images when the marsupial is on the move during daylight hours,” a blog post said.

Google has also announced a ‘Googlefiber’ bar that “has 100 times more fiber than any source of fiber available today”.
