Hexaware Technologies has said that the floods in Chennai earlier this month will have a material impact on the company’s revenues in the quarter ending December.
Chennai is the largest delivery centre for Hexaware and contributes 23.5 per cent of the total global revenue. The IT, BPO and consultancy services provider has 44 per cent of its global workforce operating out of the city.
The incessant rainfall and subsequent flooding had led to the Chennai operations, except for mission critical activities, being suspended for three days, Hexaware said in a stock exchange filing. Even after that attendance was lower for some days.
Hexaware has already announced a 13-point programme to help its employees and their families, the statement said.
