Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (HGS) has acquired US-based CMH Services Subsidiary LLC.

HGS made this acquisition through its US subsidiary HGS Population Health LLC. CMH Services operates under the name of AxisPoint Health, a leading population health management company. The transaction is expected to close in the next fortnight, according to a company statement.

AxisPoint Health offers industry-leading care management, nurse advice line and analytics services and has around 400 employees. These include over 280 registered nurses in the US who provide condition and case management programs, an all-day nurse advice line, and tools for member identification, stratification and reporting.

“The acquisition of AxisPoint adds a strategic capability to our Healthcare portfolio by strengthening our presence in the Clinical Services segment, and specifically in the population health management space. Combined with our existing services, we see a huge opportunity to cross-sell solutions to the Payer industry,” said Partha DeSarkar, Chief Executive Officer, HGS.

With this acquisition, HGS gains access to over 20 new clients across leading commercial plans, Blues plans and state Medicaid programmes. With the addition of this portfolio, HGS is eyeing a $3-billion potential market opportunity as healthcare payers are looking to simplify and personalise the whole experience around care. The other benefits also include reducing costs through labour arbitrage and improving health outcomes.
