As small and medium businesses struggle to catch up with the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Intel is working with PC manufacturers and service providers to help them address the issue with ease.
“We are working with players like Acer, Dell, Lenovo, HP, iBall and Forstar (an arm of Karvy) to make GST software bundled with their devices for the SMBs,” Jitendra Chaddah, Senior Director (Operations and Strategy) of Intel India, has said.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he said digitisation of their businesses would help them increase their business and reach. Quoting a KPMG report of 2016, he said the businesses that adopted technology could expand their reach. “About 51 per cent of them cater to customers beyond a city as compared to 29 per cent (who have not gone digital),” he said.
“In less than three months, more than 22 crore invoices have been filed online. We believe that as more micro enterprises and small businesses adopt PCs, the number of filings will only increase. To make this a reality, we are working with the ecosystem players,” he said.
