Those who shirk their duty in sales and marketing teams should now think twice. A new mobile app – Seefones -- tracks the movements of employees during working hours.

This employee tracking product enables employers to keep a tab on field staff and also helps enhance workers productivity with the usage of the basic tele-matics technology like GPS tracking.

Developed by the Kochi-based startup Transight Systems, the product helps to fetch the location based information through Assisted GPS Technology and it allows employers to maintain a record of their working team with an average Android phone.

Feroze Rehman, Managing Director, Transight Systems, told Business Line that the phones which have Seefones app would always be under the surveillance of the employer providing live record of workers activities thereby benefitting HR departments in a big way.

“The required information will be transmitted from the employee app to the clients database in the central cloud data pool and the employer can get all the detail in his office like tracking, punching, orders taken, call log and contact synchronisation etc”, he said.

The product, according to him, helps in both real time tracking and offline tracking with features like route tracing. It is a cloud based mobile application for real time order reporting and the past field records can also be fetched.
