A public lecture and exhibition on ‘Mobile number portability (MNP), role of service providers and advantages to customers' will be held at the YMCA Hall here on Wednesday.
The day-long exhibition will begin at 10 a.m., during which mobile customers can visit and interact with participating service providers to know about MNP, a spokesman for Trivandrum Management Association, the organisers, said.
The lecture will begin at 6.30 pm which will be addressed by Mr T. P. Sreenivasan, former ambassador to the US, who has availed of MNP to change the service while retaining the number.
Mr Premachandra, Chief General Manager, BSNL-Kerala, will explain the process involved in MNP. Regional heads of all major service providers have been invited to address the seminar and also to participate in the exhibition, a first for the State.
The exhibition and seminar are open for general public.
