The Andhra Pradesh Government has said IT exports from the State would double by 2015 from Rs 36,000 crore now.
Addressing a Telugu Internet meet here on Saturday, Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology, said the Government would take membership in the Unicode consortium to promote Telugu on the Web. He said companies and organisations should work together to support the cause.
The meet was jointly organised by the IT Ministry and Siliconandhra, a US-based organisation that promotes Telugu culture and literature.
