Intel India and the Consul-General of Israel in South India are to hold a meet and talk on collaboration opportunities between the Indian and Israeli start-up ecosystems. The meeting on November 19 (Monday) would include a talk by Prof. Gadi Ariav. Prof Ariav, a resident scholar at IIM-Bangalore, has over 50 years of experience across academia and industry.

The meeting would focus attention on how Israel, a country of 8.9 million, only 70 years old, surrounded by security concerns, with no natural resources, produces more start-up companies than nations such as Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada and the UK.

"The meeting is targeted at start-up accelerators /incubators, along with nominated start-ups, which would have an opportunity to meet experts from Israel," said Dana Kursh, Consul-General of Israel in South India.

According to her, Prof Ariav would provide an overview of the Israeli ecosystem, potential areas of collaboration and success stories. The meeting would provide opportunities for Interactive Q&A - to focus on collaboration with the Israeli ecosystem; a Pitching contest where the winning team would get free air tickets to Israel to join an innovation trip; it would also define the next steps for a better understanding of the culture of innovation in Israel; benefits of working with the Israeli start-up ecosystem; collaboration models with Israeli companies, academia and government, sharing of success stories and an India-Israel Startup Innovation Bridge Challenge.
