Microsoft Devices on Tuesday launched two new smartphones – Lumia 640 XL Dual Sim and Lumia 640 Dual Sim – priced at ₹15,799 and ₹11,999 respectively.

While the company will sell the Lumia 640 exclusively on online market place Flipkart, the 640 XL will be available at both offline retail stores as well as Flipkart, the company said.

Both the smartphones are upgradable to Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year, the company said. Both the handsets come with latest version of Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update right now with one year Office 365 personal subscription offer.

“Packed with Microsoft services and experiences along with the exclusive Office 365 personal subscription offer, the Lumia 640 and 640 XL are well positioned to help us get some of our scarcest commodity, time,” Raghuvesh Sarup, Director – Marketing, Microsoft Mobile Devices, said at the launch here.

Lumia 640 XL and Lumia 640 have features such as access, edit and share Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents and OneNote notebooks ‘on the go’, with the pre-installed Office suite, connect with work and personal e-mail with Microsoft Outlook built-in.

The phones have 1GB of memory and quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The Lumia 640 has a HD display of 5-inch and Lumia 640 XL has a 5.7-inch screen. For the back up, 640 comes with a 2,500 mAh battery and Lumia 640 XL with 3,000 mAh.

While the Lumia 640 has 8 MP rear camera (HD 0.9 MP wide angle front camera), the 640 XL has a 13 MP camera with ZEISS optics (5 MP front facing camera).
