Canadian handset-maker BlackBerry is offering a minimum discount of Rs 5,000 in exchange of smartphones for its Z30 device. The offer comes ahead of the launch of its latest smartphone Z3, slated next week.

The company had launched Z30 in October 2013 for Rs 39,990. Earlier in March this year, the company had slashed the prices of the handset by Rs 5,000 to Rs 34,990 as a 10th anniversary special offer.

The handset would be available now for Rs 29,990 after the minimum cash back offer. The discount offer, which will run across all BlackBerry retail networks, is valid for a limited period of 60 days, the company said in a statement.

“We have seen a phenomenal response to our initial promotional offer on BlackBerry Z10 and are confident that we will see similar take off on the upgrade offer on the 5-inch BlackBerry Z30,” Sameer Bhatia, Director (Distribution) at BlackBerry India said.

Featuring the BlackBerry 10 operating system, Z30 smartphone comes with a 5-inch display and a 1.7 GHz processor with quadcore graphics that enables faster browsing of Web pages and display of games.

BlackBerry is all set to launch its latest smartphone Z3, an affordable smartphone, in India next week. The handset, launched in Indonesia earlier this year is a full touchscreen device.
