Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad on Wednesday launched its new handset Coolpad Mega 2.5D priced at ₹6,999.
The new smartphone will be available on Amazon from flash sale beginning August 24 and the registration to begin at 5pm today.
The ‘selfie’ focused smartphone has 8 mega pixels front and rear camera with the front camera having a 83.6 degrees field of view, smart beautification (automatically detects age) and Sony sensor at rear camera for clarity, the company said.
“Indians revolve more around selfie and now-a-days selfie has made front camera more important than the rear camera,” Syed Tajjidin, Chief Executive Officer, Coolpad India, said here.
The Coolpad Mega 2.5D weighing 143g has 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 2500mAH battery, 5.5-inch HD IPS screen and works Android Marshmallow 6.0 and 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P Quad-core processor.
“Currently we have achieved target of two-million sale, and once we achieve five million then in second phase we will both design and assemble products in India,” Tajjidin said implying the company’s plan to participate in the ‘Make in India’ programme.
