The Hyderabad-based artificial intelligence start-up, ENIXTA Innovations Pvt Ltd, has launched the portal which uses artificial intelligence to recommend 'best’ phones for you for free.
Announcing the launch at a press conference here on Wednesday, its founder and CEO Giri Devanathan said BuySmaart allows a prospective buyer to customise the search process by expressing how important each component (camera, battery etc.) is for him or her.
"With over 5,000 mobile phones variants, having over 50,000 technical specifications and over one million user reviews, the buying decision for mobile phones is very complex,’’ Devanathan said, adding that the combination of of AI algorithms, personalisation and a simple and intuitive user-interface could be used to simplify the process.
The portal also provides a list of top retailers from which users can select the right one for them.
On the market potential, he said: "About 20 per cent of e-commerce revenues are driven by affiliates. When e-commerce business touches $10 billion in 2016, e-commerce affiliates like BuySmaart can eye a potential market of $2 billion.’'
