Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL), operating its telecom services under the MTS brand, has announced the launch of its high-speed mobile broadband service MBlaze in Gujarat, and said it has earmarked Rs 100 crore to rollout voice and high-speed data services across the State.
Having a presence in 75 cities at present, the company plans to reach out to 86 of 100 major cities across India in the next two to three months, Mr Cheenu Seshadri, Chief Strategy Officer, told reporters after the launch here. MTS is now available in 15 circles across India.
Retail outlets
MBlaze will be supported by a network of 8,500 retail outlets and 15 company flagship stores across nine towns and cities of Gujarat — Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Kodinar and Veraval.
With the World Cup Cricket fever running high, MTS is launching a special pack in which the customer will get 250 MB data usage free for every Indian victory.
It is also bringing in MTS TV service providing access to live TV and video-on-demand to customers through high-speed data network.
Tie-up
MTS has tied up with Hewlett-Packard (HP). Accordingly, on purchase of HP laptops, customers will get an MBlaze for just Rs 999, he said.
