Myntra on Wednesday announced its acquisition of InLogg, a Bengaluru-based technology platform that provides end-to-end logistics solutions for the e-commerce sector.

As part of the acquisition, the team at InLogg has been inducted into Myntra, making it an acqui-hire.

Fourth acquisition This is the Flipkart company’s fourth technology-led acquisition. The other three acquisitions were Cubeit, a Bengaluru-based tech start-up, in 2016; Native5, a Bengaluru-based mobile app development company, in 2015; and Fitiquette, a San Francisco-based virtual fitting-room solution, in 2013.

InLogg was founded in 2015 by a team with first-hand expertise in fulfilment, technology and business, with an aim to standardise the process of logistics in remote areas and bring in efficiency.

Over 50 per cent of the e-commerce and retail business in India is contributed by Tier II, III and IV cities and towns. With limited logistical capability and reliability in these areas, InLogg devised a solution to bridge the gap with technology.

To enable reach, the InLogg platform has on-boarded local and regional courier players in multiple States across the country.

The company stitches a composite supply chain using multiple regional logistics players to provide a pan India delivery network and provides SaaS (Software as a Solution) for shipment lifecycle management, mobile apps for pick-up, delivery, returns, COD (Cash on Delivery) reconciliation, reporting and analytics.

Greater visibility This helps in standardising the logistics fulfilment process and providing greater visibility, the firm said.

Preeti Jain (CEO), Rajat Khanduja (CTO), Prateek Gautam (Head of Product and Operations) and Hemant Agrawal (Head of Business Development) comprise the core management team of Inlogg.
