Mumbai-based Nazara Technologies Ltd, a gaming and sports media company, has undertaken an equity swap of stocks from Kae Capital worth Rs 14.6 crore in Halaplay Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
Following the deal, Nazara has emerged as the majority stakeholder in fantasy gaming platform Halaplay, the company said in a statement.
Halaplay is a real money-based daily fantasy sports platform. In the past, Nazara has invested in startups such as Nodwin Gaming, Next Wave Multimedia, Sportskeeda, Paper boat apps, Mastermind Sports, Moonglabs Technologies, Bakbuck, CrimzonCode, InstaSportz and NZWorld among others.
