Kerala-based IT services player NeST has decided to bring the 74 Japan-based software engineers back home in batches.
A company official clarified on Tuesday that those in the affected Omikai (Fukushima prefecture, Tohoku) have been safely ferried to a central location in Tokyo. They would be put on a flight back home first.
This batch has left Tokyo for home on Tuesday. The rest will have the option to fly out in the next couple of days.
The south remains largely unaffected and people are going about with their normal business.
The NeST personnel on duty at client sites here would leave for home in the last and third phase.
