Nokia on Tuesday launched the Nokia 2, an Android smartphone to take on competitors in the budget segment — specifically under ₹10,000. The company claims a two-day battery life on the Nokia 2.
Keeping with the nomenclature maybe, or vice-versa, the phone has a 4,100 mAh battery and comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal memory (expandable to 128 GB). Now, these specs might not jump off the specification sheet, given many others phones in that price range come with 2 GB, even 3 GB of RAM. But we will have to wait and watch as to how it performs.
It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor and an Adreno 304 GPU. Where the phone boasts good specs for its price is the display — it is a 5-inch full HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and Android 7.1.1. The camera set is an 8 MP primary shooter and a 5 MP selfie camera. Nokia said the global average price would be €99, which roughly converts to about ₹7,400. It will be available starting mid-November.
