Computex Taipei, one of the largest computer and technology fairs in the world, is underway. While the popular expo still has a couple of more days to go before the curtains are drawn, we’ve already seen a bunch of new launches. Here are the most exciting unveilings so far.

Asus Transformer Book V

The Transformer Book is a device like no other, and although the idea didn’t quite take off in India, you gotta admit it’s a pretty neat piece of technology. The Transformer Book V packs in a 3-in-one laptop that packs in Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 KitKat, and can also be used as a tablet. It also houses a 5-inch Android smartphone, making it an incredibly flexible device. There’s a dedicated hardware button that lets you switch between both OSes. The laptop features a next-generation Intel Core processor, a 12.5-inch HD display and comes with storage of up to 1TB for all your media and apps. You can access both the Google Play Store and the Windows Store for apps.

Acer Liquid Leap

Aside from a bunch of smarpthones and a tablet, Acer went ahead to unveil its first wearable – the Acer Liquid Leap. The Leap is a smart fitness band that features a 1-inch touchscreen display. Apart from tracking your fitness and physical activity, it will also alert you to calls and SMSed that you might other miss. The Liquid Leap comes in Moonstone White, Mineral Black, Aquamarine, Fragrant Pink, and Vivid Orange and is IPX7-certified for being water-proof at up to a meter for as long as 30 minutes.

HP Slatebook

HP has unveiled its first Android laptop, alongside an updated Chromebook. The SlateBook features a 14-inch display and runs completely on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Giving the serious, business-like look a pass, the Slatebook looks young and sporty with a black and yellow theme going. It also packs in quad BeatsAudio speakers, something that HP has continued to integrate in its devices for a while now. The laptop is powered by a speedy NVIDIA Tegra 4 mobile processor to run high-end graphics and connectivity options include HDMI, USB 3.0 and dual USB 2.0, audio mic/headset jack and a micro-SD card reader.

Aorus X7

This one comes as a delight for hardcore gamers. The Aorus X7 comes from a company that has only dabbled in hardware and peripherals till now. The 17-inch hardcore gaming laptop runs on a new Intel Haswell platform that helps it consume 25% less power than its predecessor. The upgraded battery life is convenient for gaming on-the-go. The X7 features a powerful GTX 860M graphics chips that renders all titles at their highest resolution. Aorus’ exclusive macro keys let you customise combos into one-click action keys. The gaming laptop is build with Aorus Acoustic+ that upgrades sound quality and effects, making good use of the set of full-range speakers, including three sub-woofers built in to the system
