LG LifeBand Touch

The first of its kind from the South Korean company, the LG LifeBand Touch is a smart activity tracker that monitors your heart rate while exercising. It can be wirelessly linked to the LG’s Heart Rate earphones to create a wearable ecosystem. Compatible with only Android and iOS, these devices can transmit data to your smartphone through the LG Fitness app. The LifeBand itself has a OLED touchscreen to display time, biometrics, incoming calls and music controls. A built-in 3-axis accelerometer and altimeter tracks your distance, speed, number of steps, calories consumed and projected pace. You can turn the display on by simply rotating your wrist.

Nike+ Fuelband SE

A bump-up to the older Fuelband the Nike+ Fuelband SE keeps track of your sessions – running, jogging, swimming, tennis and so on – and tells you how much NikeFuel you earned in a specific session. A special ‘Win the Hour’ drives you to move around as much as you can in an hour and also alerts you if you're missing your goal. If both you and a friend want to lose weight, you can use the Groups functionality to share your latest achievements or even work towards a common goal.

Garmin VivoFit

A company known for its GPS devices might seem a bit odd in the fitness arena, but considering how good the company’s products usually are, we thought we’d check in on the Garmin VivoFit. The VivoFit has a super-simple display where you can quickly glance at how many steps you’ve taken, distance travelled, calories burned and time of day. VívoFit learns your current activity level and assigns an attainable daily goal for you every day. The VivoFit is perfect for those who’re aware of the risks of a sedentary lifestyle. If you sit around for too long, the VivoFit will show you a red bar and make sure you walk for a couple of minutes to make the red alert go away.
